  • Whisk
  • Heatproof bowl
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Refrigerator

Ingredients

  • 2 cups strong brewed coffee or espresso
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons powdered gelatin
  • 2 tablespoons water for blooming gelatin
  • Whipped cream or sweetened condensed milk for serving

Instructions

  • Bloom the Gelatin: In a small bowl, add 2 tablespoons of water and sprinkle the powdered gelatin over it. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes to allow the gelatin to bloom.
  • Prepare Coffee Mixture: In a saucepan, bring the brewed coffee to a light simmer over medium heat. Add the sugar and stir until it is fully dissolved.
  • Combine with Gelatin: Once the sugar is dissolved, remove the saucepan from the heat. Add the bloomed gelatin to the hot coffee mixture and whisk until the gelatin is completely dissolved.
  • Pour and Chill**: Pour the coffee mixture into a heatproof dish or individual cups. Let it cool at room temperature for 15-20 minutes, then transfer it to the refrigerator and chill for at least 2-3 hours until the jelly is set.
  • Serve: Cut the jelly into cubes or serve directly in cups. Top with whipped cream or drizzle with sweetened condensed milk. Enjoy your refreshing coffee jelly!
