Brown Sugar Shaken Espresso

- 1 tbsp brown sugar syrup recipe below
- Ice cubes
- Whipped cream optional

Brown Sugar Syrup
- 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1/2 cup water
Make the brown sugar syrup:
Combine brown sugar and water in a small saucepan over medium heat.
Bring to a simmer, stirring until the sugar dissolves completely.
Remove from heat and let cool.
Store leftover syrup in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
Combine ingredients:
Fill your cocktail shaker with ice cubes.
Add the espresso shots and brown sugar syrup to the shaker.
Secure the lid tightly and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds, until well-chilled.
