Brown Sugar Shaken Espresso

Ingredients
  

  • 2 shots 1 oz each espresso, freshly brewed
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar syrup recipe below
  • Ice cubes
  • Whipped cream optional
  • Cinnamon for garnish optional

Brown Sugar Syrup

  • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup water

Instructions
 

Make the brown sugar syrup:

  • Combine brown sugar and water in a small saucepan over medium heat.
  • Bring to a simmer, stirring until the sugar dissolves completely.
  • Remove from heat and let cool.
  • Store leftover syrup in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

Combine ingredients:

  • Fill your cocktail shaker with ice cubes.
  • Add the espresso shots and brown sugar syrup to the shaker.
  • Secure the lid tightly and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds, until well-chilled.

Serve:

  • Strain the mixture into a chilled glass. Top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon, if desired. Enjoy your refreshing Brown Sugar Shaken Espresso!
